About this deal

Bluetooth 5.2 however is on its way with some significant upgrades but codec adoption is slow at times. The upper registers are smooth and very non-fatiguing, but could use a little more extension. The reserved treble is why, despite not having overly emphasized bass, the timbre still comes off as slightly dark. One solid aspect of the treble is that percussion and cymbals feel tight and resolving, making the headphones feel fast and responsive. As you might expect when you switch on the ANC it will change the overall sound profile. When ANC is on the sound has more room at each end of the scale at the same time unaffecting the bass and treble. The change in sound is a positive experience .

The UX3000 are reasonably compact for over-ear headphones, and the fit is good, with a decent seal over each ear meaning that they provide a reasonable buffer from outside disturbances, even when noise cancelling is not in use. Anyone with realistic expectations of what this sort of money can buy where wireless over-ear active noise-cancelling headphones are concerned will be very pleasantly surprised by the Final Audio UX3000. They’re a mature, quite sophisticated and nicely balanced listen, they’re properly made and comfortable, and they’re not at all bad at cancelling noise either. Bluetooth support is v5.0, and in terms of signal strength, these puts on a good show by keeping music playing without any inconveniencing stutters. Codec support on the spec sheets says the UX3000 will go all the way to aptX Low Latency, but I’ve only seen these Final headphones register up to aptX. The design of the final UX3000 is quite similar to that of many recent Bluetooth headphones – it is not too different, in terms of shape, from that of the Sony MDR-1000X released a few years ago. This is not to say it doesn’t have its own personality, as final made the UX3000 stand out with a peculiar finish: they call this “shibo”, which is the Japanese word for the wrinkles that form on paper or leather. It reminds me of the finish you can often find on cameras and it gives the UX3000 a unique look, with a gently rough surface that’s pleasant to the touch. You can charge the UX3000 via USB-C. (Image credit: TechRadar) Final Audio UX3000: audio performanceWith ANC turned off the sound signature becomes more comparable to the Focal Listen Wireless. The highs increase, lows decrease and more clarity is found in the mids making them closer to neutral. This however makes the headphones more fatiguing for long listening sessions and there is a slight hollowness or emptiness or flatness to the mids when listening to metal. There is also less bass/sub bass extension and presence. Turning on the ANC definately adds a bass boost. And onto the noise-cancelling performance, which is respectable. At this price point it would be much to ask for the performance of the Sony WH-1000XM5, which are thrice the price of the UX3000. Nevertheless, the ANC performance is astute, good at clearing away persistent sounds. With noise cancelling on, it becomes much easier to hear music than with it off. The coating is pretty special, too. It's described as a soft-textured Shibo coating, Shibo being an old Japanese word meaning a wrinkle on the surface of paper or leather. Not only is it pretty tactile, it's also "superb at dirt resistance and fingerprint resilience", and looks pretty premium, according to Final.

I will be using these as my everyday Bluetooth headphones until at least the Edifier Stax Spirit S3 is released (hopefully May according to Edifier). We, however, would like to create earphones and headphones that people have an affinity for and continue to use in much the same way they have with a mechanical wristwatch, the kind that will be valued as an antique in the future. final goes to great lengths to explain how they specially designed the drivers for the UX3000 because the ANC feature normally causes issues to drivers. They also write how they used equalisation to add some treble– this is an important detail, so remember that.final UX3000 - combining everything you need for high-end portable listening. Either in store or from the comfort of your own home. We appreciate life is busy, so why not let us make it a little easier for you. With a playtime of 25 hours with active noise cancellation switched on, and 35 hours turned off UX3000 headphones go the extra mile. Also, the noise cancelling function can be used independently even when not listening to music. It can be used as a personal soundproof realm by using the noise cancelling function for making calls, permitting conversations to be heard clearly while eliminating ambient noise. Living in Glasgow, Scotland but born and raised near Milan, Italy, I got the passion for music listening as a legacy from my father and my grandfather. There is mention of an official app – the “my Final” app – but it’s simply a means of registering the product. There isn’t an English version available, either. Sound Quality

Audio brand Final are a brand I have only had limited experience with and have only reviewed the Final VR3000 gaming earbuds. So when I got the chance to review the Final Audio UX3000 overhead headphones their first over-ear headphones I jumped at the chance. Now here comes the important part. Final delivered something that has all the key qualities of mainstream wireless headphones: comfort, good battery life, and a solid ANC implementation. But how does it sound? There are few downsides to the way the UX3000 perform. In absolute terms they could resolve the top of the frequency range a little more fully than they do, but we’re really reaching for criticisms now - and let’s not forget that asking price, shall we? Each earcup also features both internal and external mics. These handle voice-assistant interaction and telephony, as well as monitoring noise inside and outside the earcups for active noise-cancellation purposes. Final Audio UX3000 review: verdict A voice in English tells you when the headphones power on, connect, disconnect, enable or disable ANC, and power off; a funny fact is that the accent sounds to me like a posh Italian person trying to speak English – it’s so weird!

Ideally I would like APTX, APTX HD, APTX lossless, LDAC or the yet to be available LE and LC3 codecs under bluetooth 5.2 A sensor (microphone) collects ambient noise for analysis. UX3000 comes equipped with sensors not just on the outside of the earcups, but on the inside as well. Alongside the hybrid noise cancelling feature, these sensors allow for a more precise analysis of noise. The one thing that impressed me the most about the final UX3000 was the passive isolation: just by wearing them, all sounds around you are decreased in volume by quite a significant margin. This means that in relatively quiet environments you won’t even need ANC to exclude sounds from around you, which is quite nice as it prolongs battery life. This also means that those sounds which aren’t usually reduced by ANC are affected by passive isolation and don’t stand out – a common issue with ANC headphones. Extra Features & Battery LifeIn Europe in particular, our products are not only sold at high-end audio shops, but also at high-quality department stores and famous lifestyle shops such as Paris’ Colette, and our sales increase steadily every year. Final Audio are a brand that produces budget-friendly products that offer decent sound quality. So let’s see if they live up to my expectations. Unboxing
