About this deal

For information about systems that have been upgraded to Windows 10 please see the following article: Last year's Latitude 7310 supported a single 4K display on each Thunderbolt 3 port, as Dell used the base spec. That means that Thunderbolt 4 is actually a big improvement, offering double the bandwidth. While you’re not going to buy the Dell Latitude 7320 Detachable to play games, it’s worth noting that the 11th-gen Core i7 within it falls into the “Tiger Lake” generation, noteworthy for its advanced, integrated Iris Xe GPU that pushes graphics performance into discrete-GPU territory. You’ll see that performance represented within the graphics benchmarks we offer at the end of the review.

We also run a custom Adobe Photoshop image-editing benchmark. Using an early 2018 release of the Creative Cloud version of Photoshop, we apply a series of 10 complex filters and effects to a standard JPEG test image, timing each operation and adding up the totals. As with Handbrake, lower times are better here. The Photoshop test stresses the CPU, storage subsystem, and RAM, but it can also take advantage of most GPUs to speed up the process of applying filters, so systems with powerful graphics chips or cards may see a boost. Again, with the exception of the ThinkPad X1 Fold, all the systems finished within a few seconds of each other. Intel SME Study Disclaimer: Based on a 2018 survey of small business owners in five countries. Details here intel.com.au/smestudy The Dell Latitude 7320 Detachable uses something called Intel Smart Sound Technology for MIPI SoundWire audio, rather than the more common audio-enhancement algorithms. The result, however, sounds more than presentable, with a well-mixed blend of midrange to high-end audio from the speakers mounted behind the tablet’s surface. Unsurprisingly for a tablet, the low-end bass is a half-hearted effort. The overall volume could be a touch louder, too. Really, though, the Latitude’s audio is about as good as you can expect to get from a tablet PC. The Dell Latitude 7320 is a cool customer day or night. During our heat test (15 minutes of playing a fullscreen HD video), the touchpad and the center of the keyboard measured 88 degrees Fahrenheit. The laptop’s undercarriage reached 93 degrees, which is below our 95-degree comfort threshold. Dell Latitude 7320 webcam

The Latitude 7320 uses a USB-C port to charge, and comes with a 65W charger. This is handy, since it lets you use any USB-PD charger, not just one designed for this particular laptop.

On the right side, you'll find a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port for 5Gbps speeds, an HDMI 2.0 port that supports 4K output, a microSD slot, a SIM slot that's filled with a slug if you get the cellular model, and a second Thunderbolt 4 port.

Work wherever: Featuring Corning ® Gorilla ® Glass, which offers premium glass innovation for better readability and durability, so you can work anywhere your job takes you. I didn’t find the screen immediately impressive, though. This is was down to the only passable contrast, and the fact that matte screens tend to look slightly less appealing than glossy ones. The performance improvement over the last generation is significant. Here's the long story. Last year, Intel's 10th-gen processors had two families: Ice Lake and Comet Lake. Ice Lake moved to 10nm, but it also included Iris Plus Graphics, a significant improvement over the integrated graphics in previous generations. Comet Lake pretty much existed because Intel couldn't make enough 10nm chips, so it was another 14nm lineup, once again including UHD Graphics.
